RYA Cymru wales big weekend

Huge thanks to RYA Cymru Wales for organising the BIG Weekend. Also, thanks to Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre for hosting and providing all the kit to get folks out on the water. This is a really special weekend and gives folks an opportunity to connect with all sectors of the marine insdustry. As a result of the weekend we now have people with RYA Pre Entry and others with RYA PB Pre skills, all ready to sign up to instructor courses and shortly start volunteering at their local club. Attendees have had the chance to try new activities, dinghy foiling, yachting, casualty recovery, keelboating, winging, SMS. There was also plenty of shorebased learning with radar, passage planning, The New Sport or Pleasure Vessel Code..the list is endless and I am gutted not to have been able to join more of the sessions. Massive thanks to all the RYA Trainers who have delivered sessions and helped make this such a great weekend. See you next year. Ed.
